three-part film installation (Super8, looped), fluorescent light

The last words of three executed U.S. inmates were handwritten on monochromatic film rolls (blank film, green film stock, red film stock). The green and the red film stock were subsequently copied in the laboratory as negatives, resulting in two films with white text on bright blue and/or magenta colored backdrops.
The film strips run around three fluorescent light tubes, the text can be read in the light of the tubes, while the projections only form fragments on the wall.
